The use of the all-new Quasar
250 engine makes the Piaggio X9 Evolution the benchmark in terms of performance, concern for the environment and economy of
use in the 'quarter-litre' category.
The Piaggio X9 Evolution range
is hence now available in 125, 250 and 500 versions.
The X9 Evolution 250 is the first
scooter to use the latest in the Piaggio range of engines, the Quasar 250.
This radical new engine adds
various technical solutions culled from the Master 500 to the compact, light, mid-size Piaggio Leader propulsions.
From the performance point of
view, the result is maximum engine power that reaches 22 hp (16.4 kW) and torque of over 20 Nm without however affecting consumption
or running costs. The liquid-cooled engine features four-valve distribution and has a digital ignition system with variable
timing and specific mapping.
The Quasar 250 engine makes this
new X9 Evolution a comfortable ride with smooth running, as is required of a maxi GT scooter for use in town as well as on
longer trips, alone or with a passenger.
Minimal gas emissions and fuel
consumption ensure that the X9 Evolution 250 is totally environment-friendly - with a sophisticated combination of a two-stage
catalytic converter and secondary air system, emissions are well within the limits imposed by Euro 2 legislation.
The design of the X9 Evolution
250 was developed at the Piaggio Style Centre and optimised through wind tunnel tests. Its contained overall size, the comfort
it offers both rider and passenger and its storage capacity are all features that set apart the X9 Evolution 250 body.
